Start Training package

Having a reactive or aggressive dog is stressful, and not how you pictured life with your dog. I want to help you enjoy life with your dog again, and help you make informed choices to get the best results for you and your family.


In my experience, the inclusions in this package gets you on track to your goals, and gives you the knowledge, skills and support to keep making progress after we finish working together.


Includes:

1 x Initial consult via video call

3 x In-person training sessions (60-90mins)*

Written notes and reminders sent via email

Support via email/text/FB Messenger for six months

Information handouts and resources


The initial consult via video call gets the talking out the way, which can easily take  up to an hour on its own. I'll ask a tonne of questions about your dog's history, and work out what your priorities and goals are. You will leave the call with an outline of the training involved and I make a point to ensure the training plan is going to be do-able for you/your family. The video call also means that when we meet in person, we can get straight into the hands-on training work.


Training sessions typically happen 2-4 weeks apart, with regular check-ins in between. To get the most from working with me, plan to send me regular video updates for feedback and coaching.


After completeing the package, future training sessions are billed at $95 each.

help via video consult

Video consults are great way to access my help when in-person training isn't an option due to  distance, health factors, or extreme visitor aggression.


Before your consult I will ask you to send me videos of your dog so I can get to know them before the session. To get the most benefit from video consulting you need to send me regular videos of you working with your dog. This is very easy with any smart phone and I'll coach you in how to do this as well.


Video consult packages:

$50 per 30 minutes

$170 for 2 hours

$250 for 3 hours


If purchasing 2/3 hours this can be used over multiple video consults. Video consults are done via Google Meet (Google account not required).

Some important questions...

  • How long have I got to use the package? Where do we train?

    The three in-person sessions must be completed within 6 months of the initial video consult - they normally happen much faster than that!


    Sessions will typically be held 2-4 weeks apart to give you time to implement and practice. We will keep in regular contact to keep you on track as well!


    We will train where you are seeing the behaviour issue - typically at your home or out and about in Emerald/Monbulk/Belgrave areas. It depends on your dog's issues and your goals. We'll work together to find the best place to do training.

  • Why is the initial consult via video call?

    During the initial consult, there is a lot to talk about! I have a lot of questions about your dog's history, your history, and so much more. I've found this can take an hour on its own as I also spend time discussing the training plan and teaching you the preliminary info you need to know to be successful. Doing this session via video call gets all the talking out of the way and we can focus on the hands-on dog training when I meet you in-person.

  • Do I have to book a package? Can we do a single session?

    The short answer is that I only work via package deals because this ensures you get the support you need for the time you need in order to start having successful behaviour improvement. If you only saw me once and there was no follow-up from either of us, you probably won't see long-lasting behaviour change. Changing reactive and aggressive behaviour patterns takes time and effort, so I need you to commit to that so I can commit to you. Payment plans are available as well, please just ask.

  • How do payment plans work?

    I send an invoice after our initial video call consult, so during the call (or email beforehand), just let me know if you want to set up a payment plan. My preferred plan looks like this:

    • Total $549
    • $249 paid prior to the first in-person training session
    • $150 paid prior to the 2nd session
    • Remaining $150 paid prior to 3rd session

    It is important to me that people can get the help they need with their dog, so if a different plan makes this possible then let's chat.

Training via video call is available anywhere in the world.


In-home training is available within a 30 minute drive of Emerald, Victoria. This includes Monbulk, Menzies Creek, Selby, Cockatoo, Gembrook, Clematis, Lysterfield, Belgrave, Belgrave South, Tecoma, Upwey, Olinda, Sassafras, Kallista, The Patch, Silvan, etc.


Those outside this area are welcome to travel into my service area to access my help. If that isn't an option a good place to find a local trainer is the Pet Professional Guild Australia trainer directory.

group classes

None are planned at the moment.


If you and at least three other people are interested in a personal group class and can provide a venue, I have insurance and am very happy to facilitate this class. Please contact me to discuss in more detail.
